Back at The Quarterdeck.

Got up at a trifle past 6, the chores and was ready for the piping hot cuppa tea that Rema had prepared. A couple of biscuits and I was ready for the day. Had breakfast before my bath as I didn't want to delay the breakfast time of my sister and Padmakumar. 

Was ready by a half past 10 and we took off for Guruvayur without much ado. Padmakumar accompanied us till the main road. Getting out of Kochi, through the choke points like Vyttila, Idappalli and Aluva was quite nice as the traffic was sparse. Had lunch at the Saravana Bhavan at Paliyekkara and the time was 1.

Passing through Thrissur and onward to Guruvayur was slow as there were single-lane traffic stretches  thanks to the ongoing work. Reached Kunnamkulam by about 3 and on reaching Guruvayur, we headed straight for the fruit shop to fetch our fruit basket and from there, to the National Supermarket to buy vegetables and to have a cup of tea and snack.

Reached 'The Quarterdeck' soon after a half past 3. Opened up the house, Lekha prepared fish and meals for Kittu and his family.

A quiet evening as people from the other two houses were out of station.

Went about our chores and got into our usual groove pretty soon.

When I'd parked the Chevy parked in our porch, we'd clocked a total of 849.5 kms.
