His only daughter, Ammu, is away in San Francisco on work. The day's ceremony was carried out in a temple nearby where Mini, Rema and Padmakumar had attended. Lekha and I were the only close family that had stayed back because of my medical condition, post surgery.
Lekha and I'd got up at our usual time, gone through the chores and carried out our day's affairs.
The maid was at work and the nurse made her visits, as were required.
Lekha went over to Kent Clinic, at Kunnamkulam, to get her ear checked up at a half past 3. Sukesan had come by with his autorickshaw. She had returned satisfied and after doing sundry purchases.
A quiet evening thereafter.
