Our day had begun at 4, went through the chores and were ready by 7. Faisal took us to the venue and we settled down in the airy and naturally lit up hall of the Sailors' Institute. The laying of the wreaths at the War Memorial started off on the dot.
Suresh Gopi arrived without being late and the felicitation ceremony had begun. We were seven in all.
He said that he'd noticed my resemblance with my Maman when I'd told him that we expected his continued support to the PN Panicker Foundation, as we'd interacted one to one.
Captain Suresh - of the 68th course and my cadet - made friends and snapped us together.
Murali Nair-Radhika, Madhu-Sudha, Praveen-Asha gave us company and were instrumental for our great stay during those four days at the Command Mess. Pritam Singh, the civilian bearer, looked after our requirements.
Returned to our cabin by a quarter past 9 and then, Lekha went to Floria's for her personal grooming. Went to the INCS at 1500 hrs and bought grocery and liquor.
A nice evening with Madhu and Sudha.
