Kargil conflict officially comes to an end.

It was a three-phased war

First

* In the Indian-controlled section of Kashmir, Pakistan captured various strategic high points.

Second

* Indian Army's discovery of infiltration and responding to it.

Third

Major attacks by the Indian Forces to recapture most of the posts and withdrawal of Pakistani troops.

Tailpiece.

Got up at a half past 3, thanks to Lekha's cellphone and we were ready by a half past 5. Sajish arrived on the dot and we kicked off without much ado. Had breakfast of idlis and filter coffee by a quarter to 8 at Edappalli.

Reached Mallan's clinic by a quarter past 9. Lekha's dentures' review and corrections took a little over half an hour. We, then, went to Advocate Prabha Ramakrishnan's chambers and spent over half an hour with her.

Lunch at Valappad was nice. Reached The Quarterdeck by a quarter to 4 and we settled down to a quiet evening.
