Was born 70 years back on this day, by the Malayalam calendar, to K Kuttappan Nair and C Chandramathykutty Amma at TC 804, Opp Model School’s main gate in the residence of my mom’s parents at Thiruvananthapuram of PN Panicker and G Chempakakutty Amma. Their’s was a joint family.

Got up this morning, at 5, sent all the messages, switched on the hymns, lit up the puja room lamp and opened up the house for the day.

Padmakumar, Rema and Achu had gone for a quick ‘darshan’ of the good Lord soon after a sumptuous breakfast of idiappams and Chanakya.

On their return, I cut my birthday cake and had it distributed to everyone. 

Rema and gang left by a half past 12, shaping course to Thrippunithura and then, onward to Ayathil, Kollam.

A quiet evening thereafter.
