Collective 'karma'?

A gust of wind during an ongoing blinding storm hit flight AM 2431 just as it was taking off from the tarmac of the city of Durango. It was headed for Mexico city. The pilot had to abort take off.

The passengers said that they heard a loud noise as the plane's left wing banged on the ground and both the engines tore loose. It had skidded to a stop into a nearby field and stayed upright though and the escape slides were activated. The Embraer 190 aircraft burst into flames soon after but not before all the 103 on board had made a miraculous escape. It's understood that a combination of three factors may have caused the accident viz.:-

      (a) Mechanical failure.
      (b) Pilot/human error and of course,
      (c) Bad weather.

Strong wind and heavy rain with marble sized hail had lashed the city of Durango. The most important thing about this mishap was that there were no deaths.

The entire lot of 103 people were miraculously saved by their 'collective karma'. It was God's way of telling them that it was not yet time for any one of them to perish because they had much more to do in this world.

Just ruminate over the following:-

      (a) The flight consisted of people from various parts of the world.
      (b) Some of them might never come across each other again.
      (c) The aircraft exploded into a fireball, without any delay, but not before seeing off the people
            to safety.
      (d) All the 103 of them had conglomerated to participate in the event before going their ways.

Isn't there a pre-ordained script in play, out here? And the hand of the 'Master Story Teller' is clearly visible. This, in essence, is life! And man, out of his foolishness, thinks that he has control over his life!!

My take.

33 people were killed when their bus plunged into a gorge at Ambenali ghat on the Poladpur - Mahabaleshwar road, last Saturday. The deceased include the driver and the helper, along with the employees of Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli in Ratnagiri and were headed for Mahabaleshwar for a picnic. The average age of the group was between 35-40 years. About 40 were to have traveled but a few of them had dropped out at the last moment because the vehicle lacked space. The lone survivor, Prakash Sawant, had jumped out and saved himself as the vehicle was on its downward plunge! Another act of God?

Tailpiece.

Lekha's friend, Lekshmi and family - there were eight of them - had dropped by before they went for paying obeisance to the Good Lord. Her daughter, Gayathri and her li'l one, Dhwani - all of six months and a happy and friendly child - are set to wing back to Switzerland on the 11th where Anoop, her son-in-law, works. Today's visit was to weigh the child against bananas(Kadalipazham) at the temple. They were coming from Kollam and had left for the Thirumaandhaamkunnu temple, soon after.
