The water bell scheme.

In Kerala's school's to keep kids hydrated.

As temperatures begin to soar, the Kerala government directed schools to ring the bell twice a day so as to remind students to consume water.

Drink water even if you don't feel thirsty

Education Minister asked schools to ring the bell at 1030 hrs and 1430 hrs as a reminder to students to take water. He advised students to drink water even if they did not feel thirsty. Consuming enough water is the only way to fight adverse impacts of heat. Orders have been issued to make arrangements for supply of clean drinking water.

Pilot project on hydration began in 2019

Kerala was the first state to implement such an initiative in 2019 in a few schools. The scheme has now been extended to all schools in the state. Taking a cue from Kerala, Telangana and Karnataka have implemented it.

Four districts of the state to have above normal temperatures.

My take

And 'Meenachoodu' is still far away!

Tailpiece.

Got up at my usual time, the chores but got interrupted with requirements from the workers - Sivadasan and Jobby - to bring about a semblance of order in the house.

Lekha went across to the ration stand to collect our monthly dues. had gone to the devaswom office to put my aunt's name for the Aadhyaathmika Hall on 21 Apr but to no avail. Have entrusted the job to our gardener, Ramesh.

Went through the setting up of the house. Sushant and Ajeesh come by to do the screen work and they did a great job. Paid them for their work from the amount drawn fron the ATM.

Slept at our usual time.
