Today, we'd Akhila who's a specialist in 'wound therapy' had come to The Quarterdeck for connecting up the vacuum unit on to Lekha's wound on her leg.
Found her to be efficient and she has a pleasing personality.
She, however, has gone through a very bad patch in her married life. She had married a person who was having an extramarital affair with his sister-in-law. It was an arranged marriage and they have a daughter, consequent to the one and a half years of married life together. In her words, "it was a very difficult period".
Having attained freedom, she goes about her job with interest and enthusiasm. Her daughter, Devapriya, studies in class II.
Akhila has put Lekha at ease and she would be restricted in her movements for the next fortnight.
We wish you the very best in life, Akhila. Do well and keep smiling.
A word about the 'vacuum therapy'
A vacuum is maintained at the wound with the help of a vacuum-generating-machine. The wound is kept dry and repeated cellulitis heals it quickly.
Tailpiece.
A quiet day, otherwise.
