A Guinness record!

Today's Deepavali - the festival of lights. On this occasion, 29 lakh 'diyas' (earthenware lamps) were lit in the 56 ghats of Ayodhya. The "Deepotsavam" has found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records!

Epilogue.

Got up at 5, all messages were sent, the hymns were switched on the home theatre, lit the puja room lamp and opened up the house for the day.

The maid was on leave on account of Diwali.

Breakfast and recited my prayers after that.

A quiet Monday otherwise but the day started with the water motor not working. Roy, the plumber, came at a half past 10 and got it going....the foot valve had got faulty! The plug point in the master bedroom was also repaired.

Lit up the 'diyas' after sunset on the balcony and on the ground floor. Nothing was kept on the front boundary wall's pillars thanks to pitter patter rain!
