The first monument was ‘Jaswant Thaada’. A beautifully made mausoleum, in white marble, by the eight wives of a popular king. Has properly manicured lawns and it was nice to be there.
Prashant Singh, our guide, spoke flawless English and I liked his narrative that covered places and events very accurately.
Our next destination was the Mehrangarh fort, a massive and well preserved monument. Went by the elevator for Lekha’s sake. At the end, came to know Makhan and Meena closer. Bought coffee for Bina and Asha.
A nice - but cautious lunch - at a retired Major Saab’s hotel called the “Spice Story”.
Returned to our hotel for a quiet evening.
