Got up at a quarter to 3, early in the morning. After washing up, had recited most of my prayers but found that the Vishnu sahasranaama sthothram was not flowing out freely from the mind and hence, desisted from reciting it. Turned off to sleep, yet again.
Got up at a half past 6, the chores and was ready by a half past 8. Recited the sthothram before breakfast. We set off for the Foundation and reached there by a quarter past 9. We went about our work, as usual, because today's programme is scheduled to commence at 1600 hrs.
After my customary morning chat with Lekha, I'd instructed Shekhar to cancel our air tickets booked for my naval course mates' get together at Pench, near Nagpur from 07 to 11 Mar. It would be wrong to leave at this moment, I thought, being a responsible guy in the hierarchy.
Lunch was brought from the nearby Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi and Girija ensured that both Maman and I had our food. Soon after, we'd left for the venue. Rekha, our skill development teacher, was my sa'arthi when we'd gone across to Mr TKA Nair's - Principal Advisor to the former PM - house as she knew the exact location of the house. Mrs Nair's niece, Radha, is married to my friend Group Captain Anil Nair who've currently settled down in the suburbs of Bombay. So, it was yakkittiyak all the way about a wide range of interests.
The theme of today's public meeting was, "Each house a production unit - a Gandhian thought". The chief guest was VD Satheesan, the leader of the opposition with CP Aravindakshan, Scientist along with our chairman and the vice chairman. After waiting for about 15', we began the programme and at the end of it, I'd provided the vote of thanks. The leader of opposition did not fetch up eventually for which he'd offered his apologies.
The programme had ended by a quarter to 6. We returned home by a quarter to 9. It was a comparatively early evening but then, tomorrow is yet another long day.

Advocate Bhuvanendran and Vijayan were with us for some time. It was nice interacting with them after what seemed to be a long time. Aniyan is returning the day after.
