ISRO launches heaviest satellite.

The ISRO launched the 6.1 ton BlueBird Block-2 communications satellite, the heaviest it has launched till date.

ISRO's Launch Vehicle Mark-3 (LVM3) - M6 rocket, nicknamed Bahubali, lifted off with the satellite belonging to US-based AST SpaceMobile (AST and Science, LLC) and released it accurately into the 518.5 km altitude circular Low Earth Orbit.

The launch took place at 0855 hrs and released into its orbit at 0911 hrs (all times IST) on 24 Dec, in what the scientists described as a case of "textbook launch".

Till now, the heaviest satellite that the ISRO had launched was the 4.4-ton Communication Satellite on 02 Nov.

The launch is the result of a commercial deal between ISRO's business arm NewSpace India Ltd (NSIL) and US-based AST SpaceMobile.

Tailpiece.

Got up at 6, went through the chores and was ready by a half past 7 for the barber to give me a good haircut and massage.

Recited my prayers while walking within the house.

The "goodies" that I'd ordered during the 49th course POP golden jubilee celebrations were received this afternoon.

Washing Machinex of the soiled clothes were carried out.

Two good episodes of Crime Patrol were viewed by us. Lekha went across to the ration stand to collect our monthly dues and to Harisree Supermarket to buy grocery.

She worked out on her exercise bicycle.

A quiet evening, thereafter!
