As 2025 draws to a close, here are things that deserve attention and action in 2026, including clean water, smoother transport, enhanced cultural spaces and a society with better civic sense.

Got up at 5, woke Lekha up at a half past 5, sent all the messages, switched on the hymns on the home theatre, lit up the puja room lamp and opened up the house for the day.
Had our morning cuppa together.
Lekha goes to the temple to have a darshan of the good Lord on account of Vaikuntha Ekadasi.
Walked on the road in front of The Quarterdeck; recited my prayers.
Sent my December mail by 1301 hrs.
Lunch, watched "Snehakkoottu" and siesta.
A quiet evening.
Watched television and rung in the new year, with just the two of us!
