Rail-related incidents and train operations.

The rise in incidents of passengers pulling alarm chain in trains, stone pelting and jumping in front of trains (average of three per day under the the jurisdiction of the Palakkad DRM) is affecting the functioning of the rail operations in the division.

The DRM sought the support of DRUCC (Divisional Rail Users Consultative Committee members on an online meeting to reach out to the public to make them aware of its ill effects.

In Oct '22, the passenger revenue is 21.52% higher than the target for October set by the Southern Railway headquarters.

A total of 14 DRUCC members representing trade bodies, passenger associations, industries, consumer organisations, the association of differently abled and members nominated by the MPs attended the meeting.

This needs to take place frequently so that the railways benefit in the long run.

Tailpiece.

Got up around a 20' past 6, the chores and was ready by a 20' past 10.

Went across to the kizhakkenada shops to pick up a gift for Vijayakumar's grandson after breakfast. Could finally get one!

The maid was busy all through the day .and left by about a half past 4.

Vijay and family had come by to spend about 2 hours+ with us after their visit to the temple. Their grandson, li'l Vedant became friendly with us in no time.
