Weekend dance and fun on Kartavya Path.

Visitors coming to India Gate lawns on weekends can enthrall themselves with dance performances, musical shows, plays and painting exhibitions as the Culture ministry has decided to organise cultural events every Saturday and Sunday on the Kartavya Path.

* Dance performances, musical shows, plays and painting exhibitions at Kartavya Path on Saturdays and Sundays.

* All the events planned at India Gate are open to all.

* Ministry has tied up with cultural bodies like Sangeet Natak Akademi and National School of Drama for the initiative named 'Kalanjali'.

Series of events will continue till Aug 2023 with the culmination of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The idea is to tell citizens about the rich heritage and culture of India which has generally not been talked about. All the events planned at India Gate are open to all. The plays by the NSD are aimed to educate the audience on a variety of topics like :-

        * on-line fraud

        * security measures

        * legal provisions

A good idea! Would help the citizens to understand all about their country.
