Thiruvonam - the second onam!

Got up a trifle late, the chores, switched on the music, lit the lamp and opened up the house. A quiet morning to begin with, as the vehicles on the road were comparatively less.

Had an early morning grooming to be decked up on the occasion of Thiruvonam. Our caretaker had brought breakfast which was a lovely combination of avil and bananas.

Watched television and the programs for the occasion.

Vijayan and Syamala (the caretaker and his wife) came in with lunch and insisted on serving the first round! Damn sweet of them. The lunch was superb!

After a short siesta, we had lit up the puja room lamp for the evening and driven off to Rema's house at Pidavoor, with Padmakumar and Aji.

It was a lovely dinner! 

And we returned to Raj Nivas by a 20' past 9. A quiet evening thereafter!
