Our day had begun at 4, this morning, when Lekha had got up to her cellphone alarm. We went about our chores and were ready by a half past 6. Had bid my bye, as usual, to my mom and dad. The caretaker was at hand for the loading our stuff in the car and we left by a quarter to 7. Our first halt was at the Nagaraja temple at Randalummoodu; went and accepted the 'prasad' from the priest and then continued with our journey.
Stopped at the petrol bunk at Kottarakkara and topped up the tank, checked tyre pressure.
Our next stop was at Hotel Diana, at the beginning of the Adoor bypass, for breakfast. Had appams and egg fry, the time was a trifle past 8.
The journey was quite nice, with the density of traffic well within manageable limits and around a quarter past 1. Had the traditional meals and left soon after.
Reached The Quarterdeck by about a quarter past 2. Sent Lekha for rest while I had the house opened, the clothes segregated for, the washing machine, the maid's wash and for the dhobhi.
Had tea by a quarter to 5, fully refreshed and then, went about our evening chores. Only Chakki and Chhottu had come by. Missed Kittu, wonder where he was?
It was the usual evening chores.
Tailpiece.
Got the customary call from Shenoy Care who confirmed Lekha's appointment with the doctor tomorrow at 12. Fixed up with Sajeesh for kicking off from here at 0900 hrs.
