Got up around a quarter past 5, the chores and was ready by a half past 7. Maman, Aniyan and I were taken by Sivadasan to the Neelamperoor palli bhagavathi temple to offer 'bali tharpanam' for Amma on her 7th Remembrance day. Two crows swooped down on the offering soon after! It was, indeed, very satisfying!
On return, had breakfast at the Padma Cafe. We left Sharif's Taj hotel by a half past 10 and reached Puthuvayil Veedu by11. Got things done as the timing of 2 was nearing. Thankfully, the minister was on time and the proceedings began well. The minister has assured us that he'll ensure the necessary funds are made available for the making of the national monument!
Pannian Raveendran, Prof PJ Kurien, Kummanam Rajasekharan and Mr Ittycheria of the Kottayam Public Library were on the dais. Pannian sir, later announced that I would be delivering the Vote of Thanks. The program was vibrant and the entire crowd took part in it wholeheartedly. On completion, everyone, including Parayile Gopiyettan, chechi and their first daughter-in-law ensured that Maman and I had our lunch at 4!
Contributed Rs.20 grand to pay for all the expenses, yesterday and today.
We set off from Neelamperoor after 5, reached the Changanasserry KSRTC bus stand and I got a low-floor a/c bus, bound for Kozhikode. Reached The Quarterdeck by a half past 11.
After a good bath, a nice dinner, hit the sack at about a quarter to 1.
