Points to ponder upon....

When the ancient Chinese decided to live in peace, they made the great wall of China. They thought no one could climb it due to its height.

During the first 100 years of its existence, the Chinese were invaded thrice. And every time, the hordes of enemy infantry had no need of penetrating or climbing over the wall........because each time they bribed the guards and came through the doors.

The Chinese built the wall but forgot the character-building of the wall-guards.

Thus, the building of human character comes before building of anything else....

Like someone had said, "If you want to destroy the civilisation of a nation, there are three ways:-

     (a) Destroy family structure.
     (b) Destroy education.
     (c) Lower their role models and references.

In order to destroy the family, undermine the role of the 'mother', so that she feels ashamed of being a housewife.

To destroy education, you should give no importance to the 'teacher' and lower his/her place in society so that the students despise him/her.

To lower the role models, you should undermine the 'scholars', doubt them until no one listens to or follow them.

.......who will teach the youngsters VALUES?

Have a thought.....Aren't we already being invaded?

Tailpiece.

Law of life.

When a newspaper reporter interviewed a farmer who grew award-winning maize every year in the Agricultural Show, it was revealed that the farmer shared his seed with his neighbours. Perplexed, the reporter asked, "How can you afford to share your best seed with your neighbours when they are entering their maize in competition with yours each year?"

The farmer smiled knowingly and explained, "The wind picks up pollen from the ripening maize and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbours grow inferior maize, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my maize. If I'm to grow good maize, I must help my neighbours grow a good crop".

So it is with our lives. Those who want to live meaningfully and well, must help enrich the lives of others; for, the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches. And those who choose to be happy, must help others find happiness.

For the welfare of each is bound with the welfare of all. Call it the power of collectivity. Call it a law of life. "None of us truly wins, until we all win".

Know this secret. In life, when you help the people around you to be good, you surely become the best".
