A Poem

The Mountain

If the mountain seems too big today
then climb a hill instead:
If morning brings you sadness
it's okay to stay in bed.
If the day ahead feels heavy and
your plans feel like a curse,
There's no shame in rearranging,
don't make yourself feel worse.
If a shower stings like needles
and a bath feels like you'll drown;
If you haven't washed your hair for days,
don't throw away your crown!
A day is not a lifetime.
A rest is not defeat.
Don't think of it as failure,
Just a quiet, kind retreat.
It's okay to take a moment
From an anxious, fractured mind.
The world will not stop turning
While you get realigned!
The mountain will still be there
When you want to try again
You can climb it in your own time,
Just love yourself till then!

Did you hear about the Italian chef that died?

He pasta way.
We cannoli do so much.
His legacy will become a pizza history.
Here today, gone tomato.
I can only espress-so much grief,
but I must romaine calm.
How sad that he ran out of thyme.
Ashes to ashes, crust to crust.
There's just not mushroom left for
Italian chefs in this world.
Send olive my prayers to his family.
His wife is really upset, cheese still
not over it.
You never sausage a tragic thing.
It's such a shame good people die
fusilli reasons.
It was a farfalle from grace.
My condolences for Roberto, who
died in the spaghetto.
May he rest in yeast.

Tailpiece.

Got up around a quarter past 6, opened up the house and put on the music. Mini and family left by a quarter to 8 for taking the rt-pcr test as they were off to Bangalore, early morning tomorrow and 'setting-up-the-door frame-ceremony' of their new house, coming up at Ayoor. They returned by lunchtime.

Saw snatches of the Mammootty-starrer, 'Kasaba'.

Mithun and Ammu had gone, once again to Ayoor to pick up Sanil, after tea. Then, Mini and the children went to Pidavoor to bid goodbye to Rema and family.

An emotional scene by Chakki towards the end of the day as she and her two children were put inside the barn, as a prelude to our imminent departure. However, they were soon retrieved and put back into the into the work area which was their home for the last 35 days! Only then was she satisfied!!
