Delhi's Vista Project.

Dateline 01 Jun.

Why is the opposition against Delhi's Central Vista Project initiated by the Modi Government?

More than 55 major Central Offices in Delhi are on rented places and are located nearby Rajpath, Connaught Place, PM Office and Rashtrapathi Bhavan. More than Rs.1,000 crores of rent is paid every year to the owners of these rented offices. Plus similar amount is paid for extra expenses for maintenance, transportation. electricity, water, fire safety, security etc. The entire expenditure is met by the government of India. The landlords of these offices are some of the top Congress leaders. The rent for these rented government offices is extremely and many fold high in Delhi and has been decided (Okayed) by some of the top Congress leaders when that party was in power. The GoI is paying crores of rupees to these landlords and their monopoly contractors every year, for the last so many decades.

Now, when the new building of the Central Vista will be ready, all the government offices would be at one place, under one roof and the place would be owned by the GoI. This is the reason, why the Toolkit Gang is spreading posts and propaganda like Desh musibat mein hain aur Modi ko hazaar karod ke ghar mein rehna hain.

Thank God the Delhi High Court studied the case and fined the people who wanted to stay the Central Vista Project. After the Central Vista comes into being, thousands of crores of Indian tax payers' money would be saved every year and hopefully it would be used for better cause.

An Interesting Observation

* Lord Shiva meditates but carries trishul
* Lord Krishna loves but carries sudharshan chakra
* Lord Rama care but carries dhanush

When you don't have the strength to fight, you don't have the right to ask for peace

The lesson to be learned is, when they are caring, loving, meditating, it doesn't mean that they don't know how to fight....the only thing is they choose to be peaceful.

I don't regret the things I've done, I regret the things I didn't do when I had the chance.

Blast from the past

Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great teacher, philosopher and the former President of India in whose honour Teachers' Day is celebrated, was an exceptionally witty man. Given below are four incidents.

(a) The King of Greece came to India on a state visit. President Radhakrishnan welcomed him at the Palam Airport.

"Your Majesty! You are the first King of Greece to come to India on invitation. The last time, Alexander the Great came uninvited".

(b) Gandhiji. "Don't drink milk, which is the essence of beef".

Radhakrishnan. "In that case we all are cannibals. For we drink our mother's milk, which is the essence of human flesh".

(c) Wnston Churchill while having a cup of tea said to Dr. Radhakrishnan, Sugar is the only English word where 's' is pronounced as 'sh'.

Radhakrishnan. "Are you sure?"

(d) Once Winston Churchill hosted a State banquet in honour of Dr. Radhakrishnan, who washed his hands before eating and used his hands for having the food while Churchill used spoons and fork.

Churchill could not stop himself from advising Dr. Radhakrishnan to use spoon and fork saying that they were more hygienic.

Radhakrishnan replied, "Since nobody can use my hand to eat, my hand is more hygienic than any spoon or fork you use".

Tailpiece.

Got up later than usual as we'd hit the sack past midnight, yakkitiyakking! Got up by a quarter to 7, opened up the house but put on the music a trifle later. The chores and was ready by 9. A boisterous breakfast followed by a lovely lunch prepared by Ammu and Mithun.

A bright, sunny day.

The mechanic gives me encouraging news. The spare seems to have arrived, finally, at Kayankulam. Phew!
