It is starting to make sense (1).

In the beginning, I was 100% sympathetic to the wrestlers' protest but my sympathies turned to doubt when they claimed that 1,000 girls had been sexually harassed by Brij Bhushan Singh, yet they were unable to provide a single name.

First Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik claimed before the committee that a female physio was harassed - the physio denied having been harassed. Then Vinesh Phogat alleged that she and Sakshi Malik were harassed during the Turkey visit in 2015 - but Brij Bhushan Singh didn't go to Turkey with the team.

Then Vinesh Phogat claimed that she forgot the exact date, it was actually in 2016 during the Mongolia tour - again the committee investigated and found that Brij Bhushan Singh didn't accompany the team during the Mongolia tour as well.

After that they claimed that thousands of girls including minors were harassed.

The committee asked them to name a few.

We don't know their names but it happened, said the protesting wrestlers.

And then they came on the street claiming that the government is not taking action because the accused is a BJP MP.

Interestingly, none of them filed any FIR against Brij Bhushan Singh and none of those 1,000 victims came out substantiate their claims.

Seeing that they were losing the game, the athletes called out to the opposition parties to join the protest.

Immediately, characters like Pappu Yadav, Priyanka Gandhi, Satyapal Malik, Swara Bhaskar, Rakesh Tikait, Prakash Raj, Kejriwal etc rushed in.

Slogans of "Modi teri kabar khudegi" were used.

Supreme Court interfered and told Delhi Police to file a FIR against Brij Bhushan Singh.

After the FIR was lodged, the wrestlers started saying that they don't trust Delhi Police, even though the CJI has said that he will be monitoring it personally. 

* They don't want to file a FIR themselves giving details and proof of their allegations.

* They don't want Delhi Police to investigate the matter.

* They don't want court hearings.

* They rejected the committee report (which was headed by the legendary Mary Kom).

* They couldn't present any single girl who was harassed.

All they want is that Brij Bhushan Singh should be sacked from his post and punished without any trial; just on Vinesh-Sakshi's "verbal statement" that, too, in the media not in the court.
