Adieu Vijayakumar.

Came to know that CPO Vijayakumar of the Jana Mayithree Police and an important person in the 14th Eco Digital Jan Vigyan Vikas Yatra till last week, passed into the mist of time quite suddenly, this morning. His was a powerful presence in our police team when he used to stand in for Nujumuddin and Sharafuddin - as Komalan and the thief - during the street play. Within the short span of 33 days, he'd become very popular to the entire team.

RIP Vijayakumar. My tears and prayers. Here's hoping that your family has the fortitude to tide over these stressful times.

Both Lekha and I had got up at a quarter to 4 and could not get back to sleep thereafter. Since we could get up at that time, we were able to kick off from home on the dot at 6. We were at Shenoy Care by a half past 9 and went through the usual formalities of registering and meeting up with the junior doctor; today it happened to be Nina.

We could meet up with the doctor by about a half past 12. This time he has reduced the dosage of the HCQS tablet and has called Lekha for review three months later, on 05 Jun. Her blood samples were drawn for the ANA, Comprehensive C3 and dsDNA tests. It was also a pleasure to meet up with Brig K Narayanan, who used to look after Lekha at the R&R Hospital at New Delhi. We did have a short chat without delaying his patients. He has joined Shenoy Care as a consultant rheumatologist. We were famished as we ventured outside into the hot afternoon after the hospital formalities and so had a piping hot samosa at the canteen, immediately below the complex.

There was bad parking at the lot and Martin, a taxi driver in wait helped me get out of the hopeless situation. Thanks Martin, you've been kind!

The rest of the lunch was a chicken sandwich and half a blueberry pastry, washed down with coffee.

The medicine that the doctor had prescribed for our 'allergic cough' could not be purchased from the medical shops outside because his handwriting wasn't decipherable! Will have to get back to the hospital, tomorrow morning, to buy the same. The visit to the INCS will have to be undertaken after that's done

The evening with my cousin and her folks was pleasant where conversation flowed over so many topics. It was a superb dinner as usual, Gowri had done her bit!

Tailpiece.

It's gonna be another long day tomorrow as we get back to Guruvayur after doing the essentials.
