India's longest river rope way was launched over the Brahmaputra in Guwahati last Monday. The rope way is 1.82 km long and the distance can be covered in 8-9 minutes. There are two cabins and each can carry 32 passengers at a time. However, due to Covid-19 pandemic, only 15 people will be allowed for the time being, the Metropolitan Development Authority has said.

The people of North Guwahati suffer a lot during every flood when the ferry services remain suspended on the Brahmaputra. Travel by road to reach Guwahati not only takes a lot of time, it also pinches one's pocket.

The 5 Ws of life

* Who you are is what makes you special. Do not change for anyone  * What lies ahead will always be a mystery. Do not be afraid. Keep your faith  * When life pushes you over, be strong and push back harder. Pray and keep believing  * Where there are choices to make, make the one you won't regret  * Why things happen will never be certain. Take it in stride, trust God and move forward

Tailpiece.

Got up at 6, the chores and was ready by a half past 9. Another quiet day but a bit warm. It was Lekha's show all the way but Suma had called up to say that she would be fetching up for work tomorrow. The next batch of grocery - from Harisree - was brought in by the delivery boy.
