A sad day!

Yesterday was a sad day. For all the men who have worn/are wearing whites. The Indian Navy had undergone a mishap at its Western Naval Command, Bombay.

Its frontline ship and a missile destroyer, INS Brahmaputra, was gutted down by a massive fire and toward the end, the ship tilted to its side and lay in the shallow waters, within the harbour.

Brahmaputra was undergoing refit at the naval dockyard at Bombay.

Losing a ship during peacetime is an unimaginable tragedy. The IN would have constituted a Board of Inquiry and the causes and the reasons leading to the tragedy would be identified and corrective actions taken, without fear or favour.

Indeed a very sad day!

Tailpiece.

Got up at a half past 5, the chores and was ready by a half past 7 when Sajish, the barber had come and given me a haircut followed by massage. Was ready by 10.

Meanwhile, Lekha had gone to the ration stand to collect our monthly dues.

A quiet Tuesday.

Sent my message to Sanjay Jasjit Singh.
