Just walk!

Keep your legs active and strong!

* As we put on years and keep getting old on a daily basis, our feet must always remain active and strong. As we are constantly aging/get aged, we should not be afraid of our hair turning grey or skin sagging or wrinkles on face.

* Among the signs of longevity and long fit life, strong leg muscles are listed as the most important and essential one. Please walk daily.

* If you don't move your legs for just two weeks, your real leg strength will decrease by 10 years. Just walk.

* A study says that both young and the old - during two weeks of inactivity - the legs muscle strength can weaken. So just walk.

* As our leg muscles weaken, it will take a long time to recover, even if we do rehabilitation and exercises later. Walk.

* Therefore, regular exercise like walking, is very important.

* The whole body weight/load remains and rest on the legs.

* The feet are like a set of pillars, bearing the entire weight of the human body. Walk everyday.

* Interestingly, 50% of a person's bones and 50% of the muscles, are in the two legs. Do walk.

* Strong bones, strong muscles and flexible joints form the iron triangle that carries the most important load ie. the human body.

* 70% of human activity and burning of energy in one's life is done by the two feet.

* Both the legs together have 50% of the nerves of the human body, 50% of the blood vessels and 50% of the blood flows through them.

* Aging starts from the feet upwards!

Got up at a trifle past 6, the chores and was ready by a quarter to 10. Today, is the 41st day after the passing away of Pidavoor Amma; the entire family had conglomerated in the house at Pidavoor. Padmakumar and Rema had reached there yesterday afternoon.

Left for the Geeyem Motors to collect our Chevy around a quarter past 10 in a private bus. The new fuel pump has been connected up and the body has also been done up. However, the drive wasn't smooth as the laying of the GAIL gas pipeline was on in full swing and the road had narrow stretches at many places resulting in traffic clutter caused by impatient motorists!
