Muthachhan's 113th birthday celebrations (5).

Had got up at about a quarter to 3, washed up and recited my prayers. And on completion, turned off to resume my sleep. Got up at a half past 6, the chores and was ready by a quarter to 9. Manu had fetched up at that time and we were off to Poojappura, the venue.

The first jolt that came to us was that TP Sreenivasan, IFS, the former Indian Ambassador to the US had a problematic leg and hence would not be attending the meeting. I'd gone off to the CPI secretariat to pick up our chairman but he said that he'd come on his own. Palode Ravi was not contactable and towards the end of the session, told us as to why he couldn't make it. But by a half past 10, the meeting had commenced with a sizeable crowd of 60 plus ladies from Kallara, who were part of our KEDES units there.

The chief guest was GR Anil, the minister of food distribution who arrived on the dot. The theme of today's deliberations was, "Marketing products that are made in villages". the meeting was completed by a half past 1, when all the participants were provided with lunch.

On completion, we'd returned to the Foundation where we'd our lunch, gone through the debrief and evaluated the preparations for tomorrow's meeting. Tomorrow's proceedings are post lunch, commencing at a half past 4.

There was a stream of visitors, beginning with Kaarayil Sukumaran, the PNPF co-ordinator of Kannur district, the NABARD officials, who were inspecting our units here over the last 48 hours and a few of our close family friends.

Took part in the on-line prayer meeting in honour of the late Balichwal - my course mate - from 7 to a half past 7. Santosh and Anubhav were in attendance.

Returned home by 9. A leisurely dinner and had a comparatively early dinner.

Tailpiece.

Have decided to take off for Guruvayur late in the evening of 07 Mar, on completion of the programme, by the KSRTC bus.
