The plight of Ukraine-returned Indian medicos.

Delay in releasing transcript certificates from Ukrainian universities has put the Indian students pursuing medical courses in Georgia, through a transfer program, in distress.

Though the Ukrainian government, in the wake of the war, established a mobility and transfer program for Indian medicos to continue their education in other European countries, many varsities, including the Kharkiv National Medical University are yet to distribute the mark sheets and transcript certificates to students.

The educational agents earlier informed the students that they needed to submit the transcript certificate only after joining the class. However, many universities in Georgia have insisted on producing the same at the time of admission itself, putting the future of thousands of students in a dilemma.

The ability of the Indian Embassy in Ukraine, to exert pressure on the universities is limited. Ukraine's health minister will meet with the university officials soon. Only then can an outcome be expected.

Dilemma

(a) The educational agents earlier informed the students that they needed  to submit the transcript certificates only after joining the class.

(b) However, many universities in Georgia have insisted on producing the same at the time of admission itself, putting the future of thousands of students in a dilemma.

(c) The medicos are worried about losing an entire academic year if they fail to submit the certificates before Monday.

(d) The new semester has begun on 20 Mar but the educational agents say that all problems would be solved soon.

My take

I just can't understand as to why new students are trying to enroll in war-torn Ukraine's universities?

Tailpiece.

Got up at 6, the chores and was ready by 10.

Saw the balance of the movie, Christopher. It's watchable!

The evening chores. Helped Lekha to water the plants.
