News views.

My views on the news bytes that had hogged the headlines today. Without much ado, here I go.

 (a) What Are They Up To?

Three convicts in the Nirbhaya rape and murder case - Akshay, Pawan and Vinay - have
approached the International Court of Justice for :-

             (i) a stay on their execution scheduled for 20 Mar.
(ii) an open court hearing of their oral arguments by through their legal counsel and
(iii) calling of all the records of the case.

This situation is unprecedented and unnecessary because of the following reasons :-

             (i) A case like this comes under the purview of the laws of the land where the misdemeanour
has taken place, implying that the accused could exhaust all the legal options available in
                  the country.
(ii) The ICJ does not have any jurisdiction over a country's judicial process and decisions.

So, the questions that arise out of the present situation are :-

             (i) Who is/are behind the convicts trying to delay the execution of the verdict?
(ii) It becomes amply clear that some powerful forces are at work to discredit our legal
                  system.
(iii) And these forces must realise that they easily come under the category of 'anti-nationals'.

What is their answer to the most justified demand of Nirbhaya's mother as to why justice
is being delayed for her daughter who'd died a violent death at the hands of these beasts?
Don't they have daughters, sisters, wives, aunts or mothers who can meet with such an
eventuality? Would they like motherless delays in the delivery of justice then?

        My take.

It's those people who should be exposed and tried, for letting down the motherland!

 (b) Another Huge Scam.

The Yes Bank scam is getting bigger and bigger. With today's revelation, the Indiabulls had
paid crores of rupees to Mrs. Kapoor, the wife of the head of Yes bank, Rana Kapoor. In the
coming days, I expect more names to tumble out of the cupboard.

       My take.

How long can the rich and the people in power/holding high positions loot this country and get
away scotfree? The culprits are the right ones that should be given capital punishment for their
       crimes.

Tailpiece.

Got up at the usual time and went through the chores, to be on time. Went to Harisree Department Store, to fetch groceries, around 1100 hrs. Maman, who had recently undergone a cataract operation has contracted chicken pox. What a thing to happen; hope his condition improves at the earliest.
