Reading month (Day 2).

Had got up around 3, washed up and recited a part of my prayers. Turned off to sleep yet again and got up by a quarter past 6. The chores and was ready by a quarter past 8.

There was massive traffic on almost all the roads that we’d traversed and consequently reached the Foundation by a half past 10. Got on with the work at hand. Meanwhile, Lekha had left Ayoor and reached Raj Nivas to keep her personal effects. Her lunch was with her sister, Letha.

Had lunch at the Rest House canteen and took Chambu, Hussein along with me. Maman and I took an unsuccessful trip to meet PJ Kurien because the road to Raj Bhavan was closed because of an agitation.

Went for the “sarga saayaahnam”(the evening cultural festival) and initiated it. Today’s was “the evening with the poets”. Parvathy antharjanam started it all with a lovely Christian song. She has acted in stage shows and movies with even Sathyan, Prem Nazir, Jayan etc.

It was a real treat!

Rajan dropped me at the bus stand. The super fast, a/c bus fetched me up at Kottarakkara by a half past 8. Reached Raj Nivas by a 5’ to 9.

Letha had made our dinner!
